King William IV has been at the heart of Hampstead villiage for over 200 years. Situated right on the high street, a stones throw away from Hampstead Heath. Now under new management The Willie, as its known by the locals, has florished into a meca for anyone looking for a quick drink and a bite to eat or spending the evening with your friends.
The Willie has been a proud gay pub since the 1930's, playing home to many gay celebraties in it's time.
With it's home away from home feel it's perfect for Sunday lunch with the papers or even a drink after work. There's also our beer garden that seats up to 50 people and a private function room available for various events.
Bookings are strongly recommended on Saturdays and especially Sundays due to high demand
Kenwood Picnic Concerts:
To celebrate the Kenwood Picnic Concerts that are being played through the summer, we are staying open late after each concert. Come for a bite to eat and a drink before your concert and then relax and unwhined till the early hours after. Ask at the bar for details and dates.

New Summer 2010 Menu:
We have launched our new food menu especially catered for the summer, including brand new summer salads and Sea food anti-pasti with King prawns, smoked salmon, calamari, artichoke hearts, buffalo mozzarella, olives, tomato and homemade bread. We still have all your favourites such as the 100% 'King' Burger and 10oz Rib Eye Steak, but welcome new additions like the Chicken Breast Burger and Vegetarian anti-pasti

Our food menu offers a mix of dishes for any palate. We have a traditional varied roasts on Sunday, with a shortened selection from our main menu.
- Our function room is available for various events, civil partnerships, family gatherings, private dining, business meetings and after picnic parties (especially if your day has been ruined by the weather!)
- Late licenses can be obtained from the council for your parties with prior notice.
- We are a dog friendly pub, ideal for those who are coming in from a long walk on the heath.
